2.3 Cooperation with processors and third parties

Insofar as we disclose data to other persons and companies (order processors or third parties) in the course of our processing, transmit it to them or otherwise grant them access to the data, this shall only be done on the basis of a legal permission (e.g. if transmission of the data to third parties, such as to payment service providers, is necessary for the fulfillment of the contract), which you have consented, a legal obligation provides for this or on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. when using agents, web hosts, etc.).

If third parties are commissioned to process data on the basis of a so-called “order processing agreement”, this is done on the basis of the GDPR.

3. Data collection on our website

By using this website, you consent to the storage and use of your data as described under this statement.

3.1 Cookies

On some of our pages we use so-called “session cookies” to make it easier for you to use our websites. These are small text files that are only stored on your hard drive for the duration of your visit to our website and, depending on the settings of your browser program, are deleted again when you close the browser. These cookies do not retrieve any information stored about you on your hard drive and do not affect your PC or its files. Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser to notify you when cookies are sent.

All common internet browsers offer the option of managing the setting of cookies and setting the storage period. With these settings, you can shorten the storage period on your device or prevent it altogether. The help function of your browser will provide you with detailed information on this. Cookies that have already been set can be deleted by setting your browser accordingly or manually in the corresponding directory on your hard drive.

3.2 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. The data protection declaration of the provider Google applies https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

3.3 Use of social plugins

Facebook:

This offer uses social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The plugins are recognizable by one of the Facebook logos (“f”, the terms “Like” or a “thumbs up” sign) or are marked with the addition “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and appearance of Facebook social plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When a user accesses a website of this service that contains one of these plugins, their browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. The provider, therefore, has no influence on the scope of the data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and therefore informs users according to its level of knowledge:

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the website. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the user’s visit to their Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the Like button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from their browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out and store his or her IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the related rights and settings options for protecting the privacy of users, can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about them via this website and link it to their Facebook profile data, they must log out of Facebook before visiting the website. Further settings and objections to the use of data for advertising purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

Instagram:

Functions of the Instagram service are integrated on our pages. These functions are offered by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate the visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram.

For more information, please see Instagram’s privacy policy: http://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/

3.4 Links to other websites

Our website also contains links to other third-party websites. Subtitling Academy is not responsible for privacy practices or the content of other websites.

4. Data protection rights

In principle, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer of data, withdrawal, and objection. If you are of the opinion that we violate Austrian or European data protection law when processing your data, you have the right to complain to the Austrian data protection authority or a European supervisory authority.
